I entered the blogging world in 2007 and blogged about my life living in Vancouver BC for a year. While living in BC I renewed my love of photography and decided to put my passion for it to the top of my priority list. I signed up for a few classes to kick start my creative juices and found myself wandering the neighborhoods shooting murals, chipped paint flaking from buildings and people. People having lunch, people tossing around a Frisbee, people coming and going…. and my friends.
We moved back to the Bay Area at the end of 2008. With my renewed passion and some new equipment I’m now on the search for exciting people, places and pretty much anything that’s captures my attention in my viewfinder. I like to capture real, fresh, fun moments in people’s lives. Life lived vividly!
Whether you’re celebrating a momentous event like a 80th birthday party or cooking with your seven year old, I look to capture the emotion and the interaction between families, friends and pets.
So now with my DSLR slung around my shoulder I’ve decided to take my passion of photography to the next level. I’m inviting you to come along with me for this endeavor.
Please feel free to drop me note at shelly@waldmanphotography.com or check out my galleries on www.waldmanphotography.com. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Shelly, congratulation…sounds like a great idea. I will come back to check out your photos. Unfortunately, the Bay area is too far away to join you to explore the region for the best subjetcs. What camera(s) do you use? what lenses? etc.

Simon (now in Brussels)
Hi Simon,
What are you doing in Brussels?
I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark I (use my Canon 40d as a back up). I did upgrade my lenses and depending on where I’m heading I’ll swtich them out. In my bag I have a 24-70mm L 2.8/f, 70-200mm L IS 2.8/f, the plastic fanastic 50mm 1.8/f and currently borrowing a 100mm Marco and a 100-400mm zoom lens to shoot sports with.
I also have a Canon point and shoot for the ‘on the fly’ moments. But it’s getting a bit beaten up and may need replacing within the year.
Can’t wait to hear how things are with you.
Shelly
Ms. Shelly Waldman… Wow. Congrats on the new career. You have joined the field of the hospitality industry. You are lucky that you out in the bay area. I have been doing the DJ/Event production thing for quite some time now. I wish you well and good luck for a booming business.
Can I just say that I’m loving the way the new blog is coming together? The headers are stunning!
